technical approval – new A6 roundabout

We are pleased to report that our Infrastructure Design team has gained technical approval from Leicestershire County Council for a new roundabout at the junction of Kettering Road with the A6, at Market Harborough. The works are part of the package of mitigation required for the 850 house Overstone Park development by Davidsons.

A pictures from May 2013 when the feasibility of an access on Forest Road in Coalville was being contemplated. Fast forward to May 2021 and that access is built and houses are springing up.

Bardon Road signals operational

A pleasant day allows some site visits in the sunshine, to see some recently completed works. We helped gain consent for Tungsten’s scheme on Bardon Road in Coalville, and followed that with the detailed design of the access junction. The S278 works are now operational.

Thurnby approved

We are pleased to report that Charterpoint have secured planning consent from Harborough District Council for a 73 bedroom residential care home on the A47 Uppingham Road at Thurnby. The application was supported by our Transport Assessment, the key matter being the design of the access, including demonstrating adequate visibility and road safety.
